Finally Friday, I can officially say I survived the week. Since today is Appreciation Day and because I feel inspired by one of my personal heroes, Steve Jobs, I have a special entry.

This semester during my class of Professional Orientation, my teacher asked me what was the secret behind Steve Jobs' success with Pixar and Apple. In that moment I said what seemed obvious to me, being innovative, being creative, finding new ways to solve problems and always trying to improve. At the time I thought that was the correct answer, I was so wrong. During D5's conference with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, first time since 24 years of sharing stage, there was a question by the audience about advice to be successful. The answer Jobs gave was what my teacher was looking for. What he said is the next: FIND YOUR PASSION. You'll need it to achieve your dreams of success. Without passion and being only rational you'll probably quit on the long run. When you find an obstacle that seems impossible to overcome the logical thinking will probably tell you to find something else and quit, but the love for what you do and the passion will give you the perseverance to continue. And I completely agree with that answer, while it's hard to get a job doing what you like, it's easy to learn to love what you do. Remembering Steve Jobs' Commencement speech to Stanford's class of '05, which is really beautiful by the way, he had said something similar: to love what you do, work, family, all. In that speech he also talked about the quote "Stay hungry. Stay foolish." which was in The Whole Earth's Catalogue's last issue. And so I would like to tell all fellow deviants that I wish you can all stay hungry, stay foolish. Live with that mantra, find a passion, achieve success, be happy, find your love. Our time is short and we should not waste it.
